We’re having a great steak night on Wednesday, February 4th! This is a great opportunity to help support our Band program!
Tickets are $18 and include a steak, caesar salad, baked potato and garlic bread. The steak night will be at Brewsters South Albert from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. Come whenever you’d like, grab a table and enjoy! We do enjoy quite a large cut from the price of these tickets, so please support us!

Here are links to mp3 files for a few of our new band pieces!
Grade 6 – Chorale and Recessional and Tatum Square Festival
Grade 7 – Incantation and Ritual and Two Songs of Nova Scotia
You can listen along with the recordings and even play along if you’d like! Just be sure that you don’t rely too much on the tempos, as we might take these pieces slightly faster or slower! Also, listen closely for the excellent phrasing on these recordings!
Here’s a great links to some FREE online metronomes! Now you can practice keeping a steady beat in your pieces with this metronome. Choose the one that you like the best!

Our Annual Winter concert will be held on Tuesday, December 8th at 7:00 p.m. at Pilot Butte School. There will be a small $3 admission charge that goes directly to our fundraising efforts. We will most likely not receive funding from the school division for our Optimist Band Festival performances this year, so we will have a higher level of support from our band parents’ organization, so every little bit helps!
See you there!
Here is a copy of the Grade 7 Trip to Saskatoon permission slip. The trip is scheduled for November 20th and 21st. The permission slip is due on November 5th.
