September and October Band Calendars

2009 August 31
by thebandguy

Here they are! These will be handed out during the first week of school, so check the bags, or download the copy here! You may notice that our lunch rehearsal days have changed slightly. Grade 8 – Day 1, Grade 7 – Day 3 and Grade 6 – Day 5. Also, due to the division wanting more equitable full rehearsal bus funding, we will be cutting back on our Pilot Butte / McLean lunch rehearsal trips. These dates are still being confirmed, but will most likely include the 3 rehearsals before a concert. Stay tuned for confirmation on that!September2009

by thebandguy

Notes have gone home regarding the Jazz Auction and Coffee House. This is the one fundraiser that we ask ALL students to participate in, whether you’ve purchased a buyout or not. You can contribute in many ways:

- Help to solicit items for the auction itself by approaching local businesses or contacts you have

- Donating an item yourself

- Making a dessert for the coffee house

Please check the notes that were handed out with the students at your earliest convenience. All items must be turned into your music teacher by Friday, February 6th, 2009.

The Auction is on Thursday, February 26th, 2009 at 7:00 p.m. at Greenall School. Admission is $3 for adults and $1 fro students and seniors. All of the jazz groups will be performing for your entertainment! Bring friends and family (and a chequebook!) and join us!
